Its normal to feel frightend. Dont worry though, its one of the best things that happened to me, giving birth, I had normal birth and c-section, in my opion they are the same.

Oh yes I am 38 and just had a baby two months ago - you have every right in the world to get a c-section - do not listen to these crazed zealots that say natural is the only way to go they are sooo wrong. Give me a good doctor in a nice hospital...these women and their doulas and midwives have their perspectives however I just could not chance a complication. Please make sure they give you many pain killers for at least four days...very important that you do nothing at all in the hospital...do not test this and you will be fine. Also do not get pressured by the crazed nursing groups - it may come to you or it may not - the goal is to feed the baby.
Good luck to you all my best wishes.
