Repeat C Section Incisions

If you have a second c-section - is the incision in the same place as the first or will the physician have to make another incision above or below - or to either side of the the first one?

It probably depends on the situation but my incision is in the same as the first and that gave to doctor the opportunity to fix any problems with the scar and any scar tissue that had formed.

Thanks - a young pregnant friend had asked me this question and I had no idea of the answer not having had a c-section myself.

i have just had my second C-Section and the incision is right over top of the first one
