Hi
Im a concerned husband hoping for some clartiy on a complication. We had our first baby 18th May by C section due to him being breach. Now 9 weeks old. My partner has experienced bleeding approx 6 weeks following, spotting really. We also had the misfortune of being informed by our OB with not long to go to the due date that he was shutting his surgery 4 weeks after our birth. So we went to our GP on Thrusday last week who ordered an ultra sound .We were then called for a follow up at the GP the next day. The GP advises my partner has conceptional products and it is common as the OB only looks with his eyes to clean everything out following the birth, is this true ? I dont recall ever hearing about this risk until now despite all the classes and advice pre birth. The GP was then suggesting A & E but due to resources locally recomended an OB when the GP found out we had private helath cover. My partner is only able to see this new OB tomorrow apparently theres a 3 month waiting list in our area now so we are lucky.
She had been br___t feeding but was strongly recomended to take two anti biotics by the OB via phone call with the GP, these she cannot br___tfeed on, one risk being damage and infertility if not taken. This has meant weaning pretty much instantly which has been very painful with swelling etc.
Any advice on how to deal with the above scenario would be grealty appreciated, Im concerned Accident and Emergency was suggested for Thursday last week and here we are Monday not knowing much more, anything to help with the weaning would be great too, weve done the cabbage leaves , panadol and small amounts of expressing.
