Hi everyone. I am currently 35 weeks 6 days. I have Type 1 diabetes and ave an amnio planned for 36 weeks and 3 days. My doc told me if the lungs are developed I'll be able to have the baby that same day. However I am getting a little discouraged about it being this early that maybe the baby wont be ready.
Here's the thing, my diabetes and blood pressure has been under really good control, so no one is worried about the baby for that aspect. However, since being 34 weeks I have gained about 7-9 lbs! Much of it has been water weight. My circulation in my hands and arms has been awful and i wake up many times in pain because of it. Also earlier this week i have gotten very bad pains "down there". Much like someone hit me hard and walking, sitting, and trying to get into a sitting position is awful.
The baby is breech, so a csection is necessary. I also am obviously in tons of pain, so I really want this baby out sooner than later. What are the chances of it being ready so early???

My sister had 2 of her babies by c-section at 36 weeks both were healthy and about 5lb 8 each. The first section was an emergency section 19 years ago and the doctors are way more experience now than back then. The disposal nappies were only after coming in at the time the baby had to wear double cloth nappies at the time just for her hips. I was to be given a section myself at 36 weeks sometimes they inject baby with steriods for its lungs but special blood tests were to be done on me regards blood clotting and also because I had to be on medication for my kidney the whole way through the pregnacy so had to delay until the end.
