I just had a c section on march 4 2005 i went into labor and when i got to the hospital they found the baby turned last minute so i had to have a c section. I also have a 15 month old who weighs 22 lbs, would it be safe to lift her still? if anyone has any answers please email me babygirl112603@yahoo.com thank you!

I was told not to lift my 26 pound 15 month old nor my 30 pound 33 month old for AT LEAST four weeks, preferable six. I did lift my 15 month old once, and my incision site has been hurting since (c-section on 3.3.05) take care of yourself!! Try not to lift her at all!

listen to the advise given to you...try not to lift anything if possible...the scar tissue damage that u may cause yourself is far more painful than the hurt of not being able to care for your oldest child the way u want. take care of yourself...4-6 weeks is nothing compared to a few years of pain.

YOu shouldn't lift anyhting bogger then the baby for 6 wks. it is hard but you will feel better if you don't also not to strech for things up high or even vacc_m for the same amount of time.
