http://www.principalhealthnews.com/topic/3955 This website is the best I have found that reinforces what doctors have told me. Moderation is key to everything you do during pregnancy.

My husband brews coffee every morning for himself, the smell is so tempting. But hurrying to go to work save me from the temptation :) But on the weekends, I let myself drink half a cup.

Ditto on what Brooke said. I have read lots of research and spoke with several doctors and they all say the same thing. I don't have to cut my caffeine out completely. Be conscious of it and limit it-moderation is key. somedays I go caffeine free, others I have my one cup caffeinated tea or a soda.

i am not real worried about caffine, because I only drink a few cups of tea a week; but I drink a lot of decaf tea. Does anyone know the effects of decaf?

Just make sure you are drinking lots of water. Tea is a diuretic. I too drink a couple of cups a week of regular tea and then more often decaf, I just make sure you follow it up with a lot of water each day.

There was a new study that I just read about today stating that they are now finding links to caffeine and miscarriage in early pregnancy. I gave up caffeine when ttc but I have had some chocolate since. If you can, try to limit your intake to one or two small cups a day and maybe switch to decaf for any other cups you wish to have.
