No, you are not suppose to because of the listeria risk. Pregnant women are very succeptible to coming down with it. If you buy cold cuts or hot dogs at the grocery store you are suppose to microwave them to steaming hot before eating them. It's torture for me too because I really crave Big Town Hero turkey sandwiches!!!!

I specifically asked my doctor about this at my last appointment. She said that if you have cold cuts from a restaurant such as Subway or from a grocery store deli, you need to heat them to 165 degrees before eating them. This is because the food at these places may not have been kept at cold enough temperatures constantly, which increases the risk of listeria. When I have a turkey sandwich from Subway, I have them toast it, and she said that's fine.
