Has anyone had their doctor tell them that it's ok to take Flintstone's complete vitamins in place of prenatals because prenatals cause nausea?

No...Flinstones vitamins are made for children and have the dosage they need in there. There is no dosage recommended for a pregnant woman. Are you getting nausea from taking your prenatals? Are you eating before you take them or with a meal?

Try taking your prenatal vitamins before you go to bed. It worked for me!

Yes, but the point of prenatals is specific vitamin/mineral requirements for pregnant women... especially important is folic acid.... does Flinstones have the appropriate amount??? I'm taking Precare, and even without eating I don't really feel sick from them... if I start to feel a little sick I can eat a small meal and I'm fine. I've heard that taking them before bed is helpful for alot of women.

Sure, okay, they have a dosage for adults...but is there any thing on there for pregnant women? I personally would not take them even though they are good to chew on and I love them. I would atleast get an adult multivitamin and supplement with Folic Acid.

I take Flintstones per my doctor.I dont think he would tell me to take something that wasnt good for my and the baby.Plus if you read up on pregnancy they tell you that folic acid is really only important in the first month or two.So A if your doctor tells you to take them go with your doctor-after all you pay him to get you through your pregnancy not other people.

Im going through the same thing. I am totally dragging and so worn out. I eat a very healthy and diverse diet but those prenats(ive tried two kinds) make me really ill, even at NIGHT! So I am switching to one flinstone in AM and one in night. THe folic acid is important for the first 6 weeks of development, after that the flintstones are better than nothing and the prenats, being high in iron...are what is making your already hormonal body go nuts. Ask your doc for sure. Theyve been doing it for a while and as long as youre eating healthy, youre probably okay! With my first, I couldnt take anything. I was sick all 9 MONTHS, but this one is going much better. Fingers crossed. Good luck all!

I'm pregnant , I'm taking 2 flinstones complete per day, because in the hospital my midwife told me is O.K., but I'm worry, because each flinstones has 3,000 IU of Vitamin A, somebody Know if too much vitamin A is bad for the baby? I've heard that ?

If the prenatals make you sick, take them at night with a full gla__s of water. You'll fall asleep and itll stay in your system longer (because you're sleeping and won't pee it out) Good luck to you.
