Has Anyone Else Gained As Much As This

I am 11 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I went to see my nutritionist 2 weeks ago and she weighed me at 123lb (before I was pregnant I was 117lb). Yesterday i had my first ob-gyn appointment and they weighed me at 134lb! I was shocked to say the least. I'm only 5ft 1. I exercise regularly. Admittedly I have been eating a little more but not excessively and in my opinion not enough to gain that much! I've certainly been eating very healthily. Lots of veg, whole grains, fruit etc... - I get constipated so I am sure to eat these things anyway. I don't eat junk anyway.
Obgyn said don't worry - but that's about 17lb gain and I'm not even three months. They felt my uterus/womb and said it didn't seem bigger than normal so twins are unlikely.
I've been overweight before so am worried!
Has anyone else gained this type of weight?

I gained that much too during the first few months. Ate all the right stuff, just kept gaining weight. I'm now 28 weeks and have gained about 30 pounds. Some women's hormones affect their weight gain more than others. My doctor isn't worried about it so neither am I. I lost about 20 pounds before I got pregnant just to be at a good pregnancy weight so that I had the extra leeway to gain a few pounds if that happened. It came off before, it will come off again.

I am at 37 weeks now- but I have gained just over 40 lbs. You just have to remember that it's for your baby- if you are still exercising and eating healthy then it's true- don't worry too much. The doctors will let you know if they are concernec- trust me ! And If you lost hte weight once you will again- I am keeping faith in that. Plus you are most likely retaining a lot of water, so Amen to that.

I lost 48 lbs before I got pregnant. I haven't had any morning sickness and have still been eating my pre-preg diet (for the most part + a few extra calories to get all the nutrition). I'm 21 weeks and have gained 30 lbs. I asked my Dr. about it and she said everyone gains different weights (recommended is 25-35 for the whole thing). The only problems with gaining too much is that the baby might end up bigger and it is harder to lose afterwards. She said not to worry about it. She's had women who lose 50 lbs. when they're preg and women who gain 75 lbs preg. There are a lot of factors that can affect how much you gain. Don't worry about it and just eat healthy. Your baby needs the nutrition and that's all that really matters. You can lose the weight later, enjoy your pregnancy instead of worrying about weight.
