I was about 115lbs when I got pregnant, I was under weight, because I was sick. My normal weight is 130-135lbs. I've gained over 40lbs since I got pregnant and I'm 31 weeks along. I am worried that I've gained too much weight, and if I gain any more how healthy will me and my baby be? I still have 9 more weeks to go. Everyone thinks I look like I could go at any time. Im worried?

I gained 60 pounds with all my pregnancies. I'm at the end of my 3rd pregnancy and as of a couple of weeks ago I had gained 60 pounds and my weight seems to be holding. My babies have all been very healthy. I lost about 30 pounds right away with both pregnancies and lost the other 30 within about 8 months post delivery. I'm sure your fine.

hi! i was 125 before i got preg, and i too and 31 weeks along, and have gained 32 pounds. i just weighed myself today, and couldnt believe it.....
i know how your feeling. but you probably wont gain too much more weight... the baby will be healthy. i dont think your weight has much to do with it unless you dont gain enough or something like that,...its hard to tell.... with my son, i was 118 before i got preg. then at the end i weighed 164. so i gained 46 pounds. it was wierd though cuz he only weighed 5 pounds 13 oz. i guess my a__s and thighs took at the fat or something! it took me about 8 months too, to get back to normal size. i think i only lost 18 pounds right after i had him. i wouldnt worry about it though hunny cuz, it will all come off! if you b___stfeed, it makes the weight come off alot faster, plus its good for the baby. when are you do?

Do you exercise? You could start if not. Stay away from junk food and flavored drinks, they will just b__w you up and they're not that great for the baby.

Dont stress too much about the extra weight , doctors do recomend that women who are underweight to start with try to put more weight , in the first few trimesters. So far you are just over your normal weight 130-135 lbs, so there is no need to panic. At 31 weeks you need to gain around 1.1 pounds , 500gram a week or around about an average of 2.20 pound a month( see your doctor) If you find that you are gaining to fast try to walk more and cut down on the fat serves. If to slow cut down on the walking and add a few extra fat serves a day, foods like nuts, olive oils
I am 28 weeks ( was 134pounds) now I am 154 pounds, and am healthy and my doctor is happy.
Well done
