Anyone else drinking Mt. Dew? It's the only thing that I haven't been able to give up. I usually only drink one in the morning (Dr. said 1 to 2 a day is fine). What is your thoughts?

i love mountain dew, too, but i think it contains wayyyy too much caffeine. but it's just so satisfying! i would try to cut down on it a lot. plus it makes you get the jitters hehe!! but i understand that you love it, i do too

Why dont you buy the miniature cans of Mountain Dew at the grocery store? That would help you cut back on pop.

Small cans are a good idea! I have switched to caffeine free coke, so I can still have my fizzy treat but no caffeine and even that I limit my intake.

I drink iced tea every day and a soda once or twice a week. I try to stick to water though. I did give up coffee.

I am a Mountain Dew addict so this is the hardest thing to give up for me. I have been trying really hard to give it up before I get pregnant. I believe that if I ever drink it while I am pregnant then it will only be the caffeine free kind. If there are any questions of health risk of something then I don't do it to protect the baby. I really think caffeine free Mt. Dew is the safest way to go!! :->

I am drinking mt. dew. I tried to give up caffiene but it caused me to have really bad migraines. So my dr told me to have 1 or 2 and it will help with the headaches and not hurt the baby. You know caffiene only causes lower birth weight. However if you are worried about the caffiene they make a decaf mt. dew.

This may or may not work for you, but I was a Mt Dew nut and I decided to give up caffeine before I got Preg. for lots of reasons, one being that it irritates the bladder and I was getting lots of infections. I started drinking Sierra Mist, and now its been a long time without having Mt. Dew the Sierra Mist tastes a lot like I remember the Dew tasting like. Not near as intense of course, but it has worked for me. It gives me my fix without the caffeine. BTW, I feel a lot better not having to depend on caffeine. Once you wean yourself off of it, it is so much better. I would drink Caffeine free coke too except for the odd thing that since I have been preg. I have detested colored colas. I can only drink clear ones now. ;0)

Where are you guys from??? I live in Ontario, and last time I drank a Mountain Dew, there was not caffiene in it. Maybe you should cross the border and buy the no-caffiene kind...

Melissa: We do have the decaff kind too, but it's not the same. It's a southern thing....you wouldn't understand.
