SWEETS Make Me Sick Even Fruit

Hi, do any of you guys get sick at the thought of anything sweet? I cannot even stand fruit lately. I know I need it. Is it okay to do without it for the mostpart and somehow suppliment? Opinions?

Bree, I had the same exact problem, but with veggies. Around 9 or 10 weeks veggies were sickening me. Now I try to eat a lot of tomatoes, cuc_mbers, onions....stuff that my stomache can handle. My dr said that the prenatal vitamin will supplement any foods your not eating..hang in there...i know it's hard

I was exactly the same too Bree. I went off all fruits except bananas and most vegies - I literally lived on carbs!!! Trust me it will pa__s - I'm now 6 months pregnant and eating ALL fruits and vegies again.

I was the same way for the first half of my pregnancy. It will pa__s. Just do the best you can and don't worry. Your baby will be fine.

Thanks guys. I'm a carb-a-holic lately, as well. I feel like I'm turning to jello from my eating habits. I don't want to be huge! Last night I ate 2 huge bowls of rice/peas -too many carbs. Green veggies are hard to get down for me, also, right now. So I'm getting down what I can tolerate like you, Dani. I really want to eat well and it is just frustrating because I feel weak -for not eating better.

Like Dani I couldn't stomach veggies. That changed now that i am 23 wks and loving it!

Bree, don't worry about carbs. You're pregnant, your body doesn't have the same metabolism as before. You aren't going to gain too much unless you throw caution to the wind and eat cookies and cake the whole nine months. Just eat what you can keep down and start eating more healthy when you are able to. The good news is, for most, sickness doesn't last much past the first trimester.

I was the same way almost. I could eat fruit but nothing with any sugar or I felt like throwing up. You'll be fine if you don't eat any fruit just eat veggies instead. They are better for you anyway.
