Worried About Weight Gain Need Advice

I am so worried about weight gain. I am 7.5 weeks, and I have gained 3 pounds (maybe more)vso far. I am always nauseated, but the only thing that makes me feel better is to snack all day. It is so weird. I try to eat very balanced meals, but I am not used to eating so much. I think I am getting more than my 300 extra calories, and at this rate, I feel like I will blow up like a balloon. I am on prometrium, so I am extremely bloated. Help! What do others do? What do others eat? This is one of my biggest worries, especially because I am working, and I don't want people to see the weight gain for another 5 weeks. I am in the design field, and image is extremely important. I was always considered relatively skinney, and now I can't even fit in my clothes. I have been wearing skirts, and I feel like people are suspecting something. NOBODY at work can know yet. How do I hide this pregnancy for another 5-6 weeks?

You could buy some tight girdles to keep it in for a while. Also try to snack on things like celery, carrots, cuc_mbers, things like that with very few calories. Also eat a lot of fiber so you won't be as bloated and won't retain so much water.

Jen, what do you suggest for fiber? Just whole grains? Does fiber in the form of a pill or a drink help? Or is that weird?

Most veggies have a good amount of fiber. Apples, prunes, bran, corn and whole grains are all good. Make sure you drink 8-10 gla__ses of water too. It will flush all the salt from your body so you don't get bloated. Good luck. I kept my 1st secret from my job until 4.5mon. I know how it can be.

I had extreme water retention and bloating (up to 5 lbs) when I was at that stage. Some days I would not be able to zip my skirts, and then other days I was back to my old self. Drinking water is definately important- it seems contrary, but it works. Also, look at how many starches/carbs you are eating- these things really hold the water in. Good luck!
