Am I Losing Out On Too Much Nutrients

I am 9 weeks pregnant, and I can only see to stomach white rice, mr. noodles and canned pineapple. I can eat PB&J sandwiches, but have to tear off the crust as it makes me gag. It is so strange, because I LOVE bread crust!! I'm worried that I'm not getting enough nutrients for my baby. I am taking a multi vitamin, and I have been drinking lots of milk and fruit juice too.

It can be hard for us in the first trimester to eat everything we should. I would ask your doctor if he thinks you are getting enough. Can you eat cereal? It is fortified with lots of vitmains etc. Try to get rice that is enriched as well. I would try to see if there are other things you can add to your list. Variety is important, you could be missing out on certain nutrients. You can type you daily food into this website and it will tell you what nutrients you are getting and how much you SHOULD be getting, it has been really helpful for me. www.babyfit.com. I wouldn't worry to much as the baby will take what it needs from you and prosper! Remeber to take your prenatal vitamins or atleast folic acid supplements and eat what you crave as that will help the nausea. I am at 14wk2d and I have lost 12 lbs since conception d/t nausea and vomiting but the baby is still healthy and growing. Try and eat small meals but frequently and see if that helps. Good luck!
