Herbal Tea And Milk

I have been drinking cammomile and also rasberry herbal teas, trying to appease morning sickness. On the back of the packet, I have noticed that it says to drink without milk. I've tried to find things on the net about it, but haven't been able to. Does anyone know why it is advised not to drink milk with herbal teas?

Yeah, I thought it was weird too, but I simply can't drink it without a splash of milk in it. I wouldn;t have thought it mattered either way, except while I was sitting there drinking it, I read the packet and was suprised. Strange...

I would like to ask the same question as drea. I love green tea and raspberry tea and since I found out I was pregnant I havent had any. Im trying to eat healthy and not drink too much caffeine either.

Drea: SOME herbal teas are very bad for you when pregnant. Anything with penyroyal in it for example, as that is a natural abortive, as are several other herbals. Camomile is pretty safe however, as are most herbal teas. As to the original question, the main reason that it is suggested to drink herbal teas without milk is, believe it or not, most of them taste a hell of a lot better without milk (even though in general most herbals taste relatively ick). Ignore the 'no milk' advice if you have found milk makes it betetr, basically :)
