I am having a lot of pain in my right kidney like someone is stabbing me, I have been to the hospital and they said it was because I am pregnant but I have never heard of anyone getting this pain. So do you think it is normal or did the doctors just not see something?

First i would go to my doctor and make sure there is no sign of kidney stones. Or you may have a urinary tract infection as i beleive you are more prone to getting them during pregnancy as well. Ensure you are drinking LOTS of water during the day...see your doctor asap and he can treat you with antibiotics for UTI.

Yes, I had pains to and they said it might of been a kidney infection. But when I had the ultrasound, everything was good, but I'm still getting the pains so I don't know.

My wife is having the same type of pain but her doctor seems to believe it's nothing. She says my wife needs to get a pregnancy belt and wear it. Also says the baby is rolling over on a nerve. My wife says the pain is so bad it's like someone stabbing her in the abdomen. She starts crying when the paint hits. Any type of suggestions would be a great help.

My wife has now had to go to physical therapy because of the pain. She is/was very pet_te before she got pregnant. The physical therapist says the baby is just grinding around onher spine but is still unsure about the stabbing pain. She believes it could be from scar tissue being pulled from a previous surgery of endometriosis. Unfortunately, still no positive idea as to what is causing the stabbing pain. Good luck if you're still having it. Hopefully it will go away.
