Thrush At 40 Weeks Pregnant

I think I have thrush and my baby was due this week.....can I use a pessary or not? I know it's not such a big issue if baby catches it, but I am so sore - can't think of anything worse that giving birth at the moment. Just dreading going into labour anytime and still being red, sore and itching.

The pessary should be ok, but most of those chemical antifungals can hurt, too, and they don't take care of the root cause-your diet and immunity. Some suggestions: Try using a tampon soaked in natural yogurt. Add a drop of lavender and tea tree oil each to 2 ounces of yogurt, they're both antifungal. Repeat often. Drink pau d'arco tea 3 times daily. Take olive leaf extract, 2 times 2 capsules. Take a very good probiotic supplement with at least 10 billion live cells of acidophilus, bifidus, etc. Eliminate sweets and refined flour products. You can colonize baby with the candida albicans fungus, which is not so good at all..also if baby gets oral thrush b___stfeeding may become painful. Also check out oil of oregano, it is avery potent antifungal, but I am not certain if it is ok in pregnancy.
