Few Weeks Along, Rib Discomfort

For the last 2 weeks or so I've been getting light cramping & I had thought it was my period coming but my period was exactly a week late 2 days ago and I've been feeling weird, not PMS weird and I took 4 tests yesterday and each came up positive. I haven't been to the doctor yet so I don't know exactly how far along I am but I know I'm early. Well this morning I woke up with a discomfort under my right rib and after a few hours it started to go across my stomach. It's not very painful as much as uncomfortable, it only hurts when I breath it hard or cough. In the last hour or so it's gone down a lot but is still noticeably there. Should I be worried or is this something normal? A girl I work with said it could be that my uterus is expanding and it's pushing my organs into my ribs, could that be it? I know women often experience rib pain during pregnancy but I'm just scared it's way too early and something may be wrong. All answers greatly appreciated

I had rib pain, but much later in my pregnancy. When the baby gets bigger it feels like he is kicking your ribs. Maybe (since from what I understand from your post your still in the beginning of your pregnancy ) you are getting heartburn or indigestion. This can also cause pain around your rib cage. You should go to the doctor regardless as it might be something unrelated to pregnancy such as chest cold or infection. Update me when you can!
