I've got terrible hemarrhoids, and nothing seems to work. Is there anyone out there who's succeeded in beating tough piles?

I had to have something called sclerotherapy to remove my hemorrhoids. With this sort of treatment a chemical solution is injected to shrink them away.

I started eating a lot of fiber when I got hemorroids and this seemed to help to relieve the pain.

I had bad hemmorhoids the first time I was pregnant, but I think that was because my doctor had me on iron pills which made me constipated so I was straining on the toilet a lot. I think the important thing is to avoid constipation by eating lots of fibre, drinking water and getting exercise. Once your baby is born the hemmorhoids should hopefully go away on their own.
