Makes no difference really how late you normally are or not... meaning it won't tell one way or another, only a test will do that. Whether it be bought from a store or at the doctor's office/clinic. Tomorrow's wednesday so I'm hoping you get the results you want or you'll be facing a whole new bunch of different stresses and questions and decisions. If by chance you get the result you DON'T want... just know that you're not alone in that area. It's hard when things aren't planned, but don't let ANYONE make your choices for you. You should be the one to decided what is best for you. I'm not sure how old you are and I'm hoping you're at least an adult....but regardless, you have to live with your choices...so don't make any rash decisions. This applies to everyone really who is in doubt or unsure. Nothing wrong with weighing all options and knowing what choices you DO have. I wish you all the best. I'll be watching for your post. I took the test again. It came out negative. To answer your question Joosie I am 20 years old. I am not sure if i am happy with the result b/c i just found out i calculated wrong. I am infact 16 days late for my period. I was supposed to get it on November 12. I had unprotected s_x on November 20 or maybe after that. I am scared b/c i have never skipped a period before. I have been late many times though but not this late. If i don't get my period by December 12 (which will make it one month) i am going to see a Dr. Well good luck to everyone else and thanks Joosie for responding.

I mean't to say if i don't get my period by January 12 then i will see a doctor. Which is very soon. I am scared but i already talked to the guy i had unprotected s_x with and now hes aware of whats going on in case of anything. Boy this is really teaching me a lesson!

Well today i woke up int he morning and went to the bathroom and when i wiped i found blood. Very light though and brownish. I think i got my period finally today. So the test does not lie even the cheapest one b/c i bought CVS brand and they both came out negative.

If you have abdominal pain but no period you may have an etopic pregnancy and that can be really dangerous for you. They dont always show up on preg. tests so I would go to the doctor if the pain gets worse as you could have internal bleeding.

I had the same situation. Period late and I kept thinking it was going to start because I was getting my usual period cramps, back ache etc. It never came. 2 weeks later I got a positive pregnancy test. No one ever seems to tell newly pregnant women that cramping to some degree is a normal part of early pregnancy signs/symptoms. My only other word of advice would be to buy the digital pregnancy test that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" they are more exciting and specific to use - at least I felt that way!

It is possible you could be having implantation bleeding and not your period and indeed be pregnant, so watch your body closely to make sure it's really your period.

Well i don't know if i do have my period b/c i have minor blood stains everyday. This has been going on since thrusday. I am going to wait b/c usually my period does this to me. It comes but very light for the first few days and then it'll come heavy. I will keep everyone updated. Thanks..

I am 13 days late. I have been having cramps and feeling like I could get my period at any minute. Here's the strange part: I am on the pill and always get my period 2 days after stopping active pills. I am like clockwork. I sometimes use my pills to manipulate my period and stopped them 2 days early so I wouldn't get it over xmas :) I had s_x 2 days before I stopped my pills. I took one hpt at 7 days late and it was neg. I found out that they are only accurate 14-21 days after fertalization. I took another this morning at 13 days late. still neg. has anyone else had this sort of expirience with the pill? I am going for a blood test next week.

I am still spotting blood but not the full period yet. I feel weird b/c i am so late as it is and it still doesn't come. Please help me! I thought for sure i was getting it and i still feel like i don't have it. To Di i used to take the pill and i have been like 5 to 6 days late. As long as your taking the pills everyday like your supposed to the period will come.

My opinion to anyone unsure if they're pregnant is to either go buy a pregnancy test, preferrably with two tests in it so you have an extra one. If you can't afford to do that, get to a clinic in your area that will do a test for you for free. Or go see your DR. I'm unsure how things work in the States for example b/c I am from Canada and we have free health care where I am so I don't have to worry about paying for visits. HOWEVER it's worth it instead of wondering and waiting with no answers. THEN if you are infact pregnant you are best to find out early enough so you can make decisions for yourself and begin with the proper prenatal care. I suggest when you do visit a dr. ask what if it comes back negative, what can I do to find out what's wrong with me? Can I come back later, how long do I wait etc. Make a list of questions before you go to ask your dr. so you don't forget once you arrive. Websites like this are comforting to a degree but really can't give you the answers you want/need. Keep that in mind. Good luck to everyone!!

When I found out I was pregnant, the test I got the clearest answer from was actually Wal-Mart brand- Equate. I have recommended those to everyone that was curious, a friend of mine found out she was also pregnant 2 days ago and the equate was 10x clearer than first response or clear blue easy.

I am still in the same boat. My period basically never came and i am not even spotting anymore. i dunno what i am going to do. Its been like a month and still nothing. However i don't think i am pregnant.. i have no signs and i was spotting for a week. Who knows? i am confused.

Listen Anon I didn't "rag" on anyone for giving an OPINION I "ragged" on her for saying negative things about abortion. BECAUSE there are so many ppl confused as to what to do, they don't need to hear negative things about a choice they may have to make. It's hard enough dealing with the news alone especially if it's unexpected. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure there are some who care about my opinion B/C they come on here for ADVICE. Read what I wrote....you can't get the answers you want from asking random ppl on a forum, you can only get a bit of comfort knowing you're not the only one experiencing the symptoms mentioned. SO, my suggestions were to talk to a dr. If you don't think that is ideal advice you've got issues. Perhaps your miserable response is more along the lines of what ppl are looking for, but I doubt that. A hypocrit? No, I don't care who gives advice that's what this place is about, but when it's in a negative form toward a possible choice that many may have to make, I think that's wrong and I will voice MY opinion as well. I just figure you can do it in a more positive way without making someone feel more confused than they might already be.

Well its me again! I need help.. i still don't have my period. I don't know what to do. I have an appointment for my doc. on january 19th. If i don't get my period by then i will have to take a blood test. I haven't taken anymore pregnancy tests b/c i think i am wasting my money. I basically skipped one whole month and got two tests negative. I am so stressed .. someone please help me? STOP ARGUING PPL WE NEED ADVICE NOT ARGUMENTS!
