Scared is a very common first response to finding out you are pregnant espically if you are going to be a single mom. I just turned 21 in september and am due in 3 days although i am not a single mom i wasnt sure what i was going to do with a child at such a young age. Your fear will eventually subside and excitment will set in. abortion is an option but you have to ask yourself if you will feel guilty or like you have done something wrong. Alot of women who get abortions have a very hard time coping with the guilt afterwards and feel as though they have made a huge mistake. they will not abort after 16 weeks so if this is your decision you have to get it done because the farther along you are the more it hurts also if you do decide not to get an abortion and dont think you can handle being a mom there are so many deserving couples out there that cannot have children you can contact a private adoption agancy and there are couple who may want your baby and that way atleast you will know your shild is geting a good home and not stuck in the system. I hope this advice helps and good luck with your decision.

Hi Lisa, what you are going through is completely normal. Let me start of with saying I am sixteen,33w3d pregnant, and have made an adoption plan for my son. An unexpected pregnancy at any age can bring up alot of unknown feelings and you may not to know what to do. I thought about having an abortion when I found out I was pregnant and I decided that I was being selfish and couldn't go through with it. I decided if I can't give my son what he deserves then I will find a loving wonderful family that can. Adoption is definitly a choice that even in this day of age isn't talked about and isn't very known about. It is a wonderful process, and there are alot of good agencies out there. There are two different kinds of adoption, open, semi open or closed. Most states preform open adoption these days. Open adoption is where you can pick the family, meet them, and stay in contact through out the years with the family. Through pictures, letters, even holiday visits and such. Semi open is you usually get to pick the family, and meet them if you choose. Its all up to you how open you think you want it to be. Or if you don't think you can deal with the pain of going through that, there is always closed adoption. There are so many more options out there then just abortion. Once you get so far along it would be harder I think to do it. Since you start feeling the first flutters of movement. There are also many wonderful programs out there for single mothers. Your state can help you alot. Just make sure you are well informed on ALL your options before you make a decision, and don't let ANYONE try to push you into making a decision you don't want to make. This is your body and your life and your decision. Good luck Lisa and if you ever need anyone to talk to you, you can get a hold of me on my piczo at

You have a big decision to make. I have experience with adoption if you want to message me you can. I will be glad to talk to you about it. Good luck! Just make sure that no matter what you decide to do that you are comfortable in your decision. Otherwise, you might have regrets later.
