I've been searching the intenet too. and i can't find anything that gives me any examples of hope. does anyone have any personal experiences that would offer hope to women who had made wrong choices, or known anyone to have?

you all seem pretty open minded it is refreshing. I am a pain patient. I have has problem with depression with only compounds the problem I didn;t find out until I was 3 mo in that I was pregnant and by then had already developed into a full blown alchy. This offers me hope that I can have a normal child I have already drank throughout my whole pregnancy and didn't drink heavily until the 3rd trimester this offers me hope where I had none before.

Is there an update from the original poster? I'd like to know if everything is ok with the baby. I too have drank pretty heavily during the second trimester and am scared beyond belief. I have been maintaining my prenatal intake and do not want to continue the drinking any longer.

I drank some during my pregnancy and had massive guilt and dread. This forum gave me some hope amoung a sea of info that my baby was doomed on the internet. I just had my perfect son a day past my due date and he weighs nearly 9 lbs. No FAS face, no screaming or fussy nature. I saved this thread and promised I would add to it once he was here good or bad. My situation was for the better, thank god. It is best not to drink if for nothing else the damned guilt and dread you will be stuck enduring. I hope this post may give someone else who was in my situation some hope. Stop now, hydrate, eat well, take your prenatal and pray. Don’t stress, positive vibes. I did not post this to be berated with hateful comments, so save your negativity. Just trying to give some hope to someone who was in my situation.
