6 Week Checks Include Internal

I have to say that I did not have my 6 wk check-up yet. Danny is 3 1/2 mos. I know that I should but I still feel like I don't want to be bothered. I was in labor for 22 hrs and all kinds of people stuck themselves inside of me. I hated it. That was the worse part of labor. I am going to go next wk though bc I want to get back on the pill and my GYN needs to prescribe them for me. Also, I had a c-section as well but I did go into labor.

My son is almost 4 months old and I still haven't gotten checked out....I'm terrible

I must say that it is nice to see that I am not the only one who hasn't got a check-up yet. Even if it is horrible.

The only reason I got my check-up, and my annual exam a few weeks later, is that I was on medicaid for my pregnancy and it ends 2 months after you give birth.

thanks everyone, I will go but ask for smear only, i hate the way us women have to go through all this stuff.

Mine did not.

My doc did a quick internal check. I guess it doesn't bother me like it does some people. I just figure it is one of those things you have to do. I am also not shy, I figure that's just the doctors job, no biggie. I wanted to know I healed well and all was okay. I guess everyone is different. I never knew anyone that had such a hard time with the thought of getting pelvic exams done, but I read a lot of posts here where women are super terrified of them, for what ever reason.

its not being scared, i dont mind smears when they put in a plastic thing, but its when they are putting their fingers in you, its too personal, feels like youve been raped in a mild way, depending on how rough they are, the bum thing gave me nightmares for days, i still hate that doctor and want to slap him.

Yes, I had a pap smear and everything...I was nervous because I was still a litle sore where I had the st_tches, but it didn't hurt at all. The Dr. was very gentle and said I had completely healed.

LIsa !! You only need 1 pap a year I dont know why your going 3 times a year Weird!!!

C - December 16

I was due for a pap so they just gave me mine at my 6 week. I don't remember the internal being that bad. You should really go. I thought it was fun to see my doctor when I wasn't as big as a bus. Her first words were--hello queen of big baby.
