It's SO not fair!! I have to work so hard to get my 6 week old girl to smile and it seems like all hubby has to do is be in the same room as her and she totally gushes! LOL He just says "hi sweetie" and she is all smiles. I'm jealous, I know I shouldn't be..and I am happy she loves her daddy so much...but I will be the first to get a laugh out! muah hah ha!!

I think girls are more found of dads just as boys are of mom...My husband tries his best to entertain and make my son to play and smile to him but all my son does is stair at me whereever i go,,whatever i do..he turns his face right and left ,up and down whenever my DH plays with him..and when he sees me he smiles and brights up like sun..he's is mama's boy..my DH is jealous..lol

Kristina-I totally know how you feel. My twelve week old girl as always been this way! She loves her daddy more than me I swear. Chad will come home after school and Kailey will immediately start smiling and cooing at him, while will be trying and I can't even get a smile! I even lost out on the first laugh! She will say mommy first though!

Wow I wish that was the case with my son newmom. My son is in looooovvvve with my dh. Whenever my dh looks at him, he starts getting excited and laughing and playing. He is 3 1/2 mos. He plays with me as well, but it is no comparison to what he does with his father. I am not jealous though, I think that it is cute. I love to see men with their children bc my father was not around.

I hear you, TC, it's nice to see a man as a father, attentive and involved in child-rearing. I guess I have the typical situation, three boys, and they all love their mama very much. Dad is alright, but nothing beats mom. :-)

My dh tries to get the response from our son that I get, but he usually only gets all excited to see his mommy! Secretly, I love it, I'm evil, but when I can't leave the room without Lucas crying, it gets frustrating!

I thought my daughter would be that way too, but she gives me all the smiles! =) Even when I'm not looking at her, people will tell me that she's looking at me and smiling! It's so sweet. She does get happy with daddy too, but it makes me feel so good that she likes me the most!
