My daughter was at a point where she ate non stop and we thought it was time to move her to 5 ounces. Then all of a sudden it dropped down to were we were fighting to get her to eat 3. Ever since then she wiggles like mad when were feeding her. Her head goes from side to side so to keep the nipple in her mouth we have to move with her. Formula goes everwheres so now Im reduced to stripping her shirts off to keep them from getting soaked. She is back to four ounces again but still flings her head around and wont keep still to eat. Any ideas?

Do you have her on somewhat of a schedule...like every 3 or 4 hours she eats 3 to 4 ounces? Maybe she just isn't hungry when you feed her because you feed her too little every hour. I don't know what your situation is but you should try getting her to eat the maximun ounce every couple hours and not non-stop every hour. Maybe when she cries...shes not hungry, maybe she is too hot/cold, has a wet diaper, doesn't like the position shes in, etc. Usually if a baby is flipping all around, they aren't super interested in food. My son would go about 4 hours (at three months old) and eat about 4 ounces. He'd keep his mind to the bottle and nothing else.

Trust me she is hungry because if you take the bottle away from her she will cry until it is given back and actually she eats anywheres frmo 3-5 hours apart. When I said non stop I meant it seemed like she wanted to eat all the time and the doc said it was a growth spurt, she did actually gain quite a bit finally looking to be a newborn size baby at three months. She is a premie. She burps ok. Usually trying to burp her wont get anything but if you jst sit her up or stand her up for a few sconds she burps on her own. She is very active alomst to the point if you set her down she gets upset because she wants to try to stand. I put her in a jolly jumper today and she sort of bounced herself until she had to much over stimulation. She is constantly kicking and throwing her hands around. And it never stops not even when she is hungry. At night time when she is supposed to be sleeping her arms will wing around and knock her binky out of her moutht hen she screams till its back in her mouth (this happens repeatedly until I hold her arms down untill she gets in a deeper sleep) swaddling doesnt work she can escape the best of them. I guess I shouldnt complain I know she is very healthy and active which is good but I just wish she would take a bottle with a bit more ease...
