When my daughter was about 2 weeks old i noticed that she had developed a 'stripe' down her forehead.... i asked the doctor (she was still in the hospital at this point) and he said that it would likely go away by about 1 year and that it was either a 'suture mark' which is where the skull forms together (middle of forehead) or due to the fact that her father is black and i am white. About 2-3 weeks later i noticed that the 'stripe' had extended and was now covering her left eye and down the side of her face. Then at about 5 months or so i noticed that the bottom 3rd of her left eye always remained blue while the rest of her eye(s) were always changing colour (blue green grey brown). When i saw another pediatritian this week (she is now 6 months) he said that because of the discolouration of her face and eye together that it may be due to a lack of pigmentation which may be permanent, as opposed to the first diagnosis. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm afraid that if it is permanent that she will be made fun of, even though i still think she is the most gorgeous thing i have ever seen (teehee), kids can be so mean to eachother...
