My little girl is 10 weeks today. She has good old colic. Doc and everyone I know says at about 12-13 weeks it magically disappears. Anyone have kids that had this and did it go away then? We have been noticing slight differences in her at night, she isn't crying as much as she used to. But fights naps still and think she needs to eat every hour. Doc said that will all go away too. Any advice? I know I only have a couple more weeks if he is right but just curious how it was for everyone else.

Gas Drops is now your friend!!!! You can buy gas drops over the counter at any drug store.....You may want to buy the playtex nurser bottle set. The less air your baby get, the less gas she will have. Rubbing her on her back helps get the gas out too.....The gas drops really did the job for me. Try it!! Good luck...hey, let me know what work for you.

We have tried those. No luck. Tried the nurser bottles as well. Still loved to cry/scream at night!! :) Did it all seem to go away though around 12-13 weeks??

Wow, I feel so bad for your little girl and mom. I know the screaming can be hard on baby and you. I can't believe your doctor didn't offer more advice or meds. My oldest had terrible colic. His lasted for a long time. The doctor gave me some meds for the gas. Boy, it helped. Talk to your doctor again. Hopefully, the doctor can help you out.

Thank you. I will talk to the doc again. Like I said she is slowly getting better. Just in the past 2-3 weeks she went from not wanting to take any naps to taking 2-3 a day. They aren't the longest but any help. And the crying/screaming used to start at 5 every night and last until 10. Now it starts closer to 7 or 8. So someday!! :) When it did end though was it completely different?

My first born, Avery lost oxygen at birth , so his crying could had been much more. The drops did help a lot....Jordan(youngest) cried at night when he was 2 months along. From 9pm to 11pm. Once I give the the drops with b___st milk, he stopped. It only lasted for about a two weeks....I guess it depends on the baby. Don't worry colic pa__s with time. Soon she will be smiling like she never had colic...heeeheee...Thats babies. Enjoy your little one..They grow so fast......Smooches!!!
