My baby does that too. I've started her on cereal, sweet potato, applesauce and peaches. She'll be 4 months in 3 days.

Wow your 13 wk can grab, thats pretty cool. If you feel that he is doing okay with the cereal then stick with that. I know that the "experts" say that it is too early, but sometimes you have to do what you can for your child. My 3 1/2 mo old is pretty content with his formula so I am not going to start him on anything just yet. Keep us posted on how the cereal thing is going.

My 5 month old is pretty happy playing with utensils right now. I am trying to wait as long as we can before starting solids because food allergies run in the family. I got him a sippy cup and put water in it. That distracts him. Mabye if you give him a bowl and some utensils it will keep him busy?

Thank you everyone for posting...he is doing well with the cereals but i just give him a little one day and stop for three..i don't think i'm gonna give solids yet gonna wait until he gets 6months "long way" ..i like the idea of giving him utensils but i'm scared he might hurt himself by hitting on his eyes and all...he grabs whatever gets on his way and also kicks very hard..
