I know I'm mean, but I would just only offer the sippy cup, since she knows how to use one and "lose" the botles. Not an option. Easier said than done sometimes. My daughter had no problem with the change, though, but only you know your kid.

Walmart sells sippy cups with a clear, soft spout. They don't have a removable valve, but they don't leak unless you put soda in them. We started using them when my daughter was 11 months, and she's 3 and we're still using them. I don't give my daughter a cup to fall asleep with because it's not good for her teeth.

My son is 18 months old. He is crazy about his bottle. I know he should be off it already. Do I just take it from him all together? He's a stubborn boy. Any advise to make this transition easier? i have tried several types of sippy cups, he will drink a little from them but we
( myself, husband and daycare workers) always give in to him when he demands his baba .

For both my 2 kids, on their 12 month b-day i took it away all together. I had prepared them before though...showing them the cups.
And they fussed 2-3days and they were fine after. i think that the younger you take them away the easier it is on them
