Due to finances we are moving to another place but with this move we will not have internet connection unless I visit my inlaws whose computer only works about once a month if lucky. We havent been able to fnd a nice but affordable apartmetn or house to rent so we are forced to take what is available. My fiance though does not want me to leave our apartment without him not even to take out the garbage due to other tenants being well how should I put it? Criminals? There is not much avaible in our tiny city and we do not have the option of moving to another city due to visitation with his other daughter. Were trying to decide wether I should I drive him to work in the morning or not beause he doesnt want me alone in the hallways when I get back. But if something happened to Kaylee I would need the car. Situations like this sucks, I dont want my daughter growing up like this but we have no choice at the moment. They dont take pets so we have to sneak our cat in which i dont like lying about things so Im going to have to avoid the landlady. The computer or shall I say internet has been the one distraction that I have so now Im a little depressed that I wont have a connection to the outside world now. I feel like Im going to be turned into a recluse due to this move. I guess Im just pouting. sigh well I will have access untill friday and after that its bye bye forum and friends.

We went and finished filling out the rest of the paper work and they had tld us we would move in friday but she said she gave first option to another lady all she has to do is come up with the money so she said the next available apartment would be the 15th next month whish means we would have no wheres to stay for 15 days. Im so angry. Its bad enough ew have to move into c___ppy slummy apartments but now we may not even be able to do that- oh grr Im so tired. Thank you so much for your guys nice words. Makes me feel so not alone and in truth everyone on ehre has helped me so much with my 1st born. Ive learned so much from everyone elses personal experiances.

Where do you live Skyfeather?

Skyfeather - July 11

I live in Upstate NY in an itty bitty city. We cant stay with his parents because they are selling their house and have no available bedrooms and they too are currently trying to find a place to stay until they can build another house. Our housemates cant find a place to live either and they are actually to the point where they may have to quit their jobs and move to a bigger city in hopes of finding jobs and an apartment. I tell you what it feels like NY is going to peices.

I am sorry to hear that. We all have had hardships in our lives and we get pa__s it. You will too. Hopefully soon, you will be able to chat again. I am sending you tons of luck and well wishes!!!! Think of your move as a new start. When you think postive only good will come. God Bless!!!

The public library in your area most likely has internet access.

Life sucks - July 12

And I am having a pity party cause we don't have the money to go camping the one time this year. Compared to you we have it good a home to live in . My heart sunks and aches for you. I do not know any of the US state laws but are there any government housing available or low cost housing available in your area.

KEEKEE - July 12

Skyfeather, have you ever thought about moving to a different state..NY is so pricey..Just a thought

Skyfeather - July 12

Oh yes I would lo9ve to move to another state where there are actual jobs and where you get paid and have housing that doesnt cost $600 for a small two bedroom. They actually printed an article in the paper for government housing a__sistance saying that due to the price of rent they can no longer help people. The place we are moving to is based on your income but it is such a bad place but we will only have to pay 300 plus utilities for a small two bedroom. I am trying to not let it get me down. I know there are others out there that are in worse shape then us but I just want the best for my daughters. Oh the reason why we cant move out of state is due to his other daughter. We dont have custody just partial visitation that she makes up when ever she feels "nice" so we get to have her twice a month. But we are going to coutr to try adn get her.

Jbear - July 13

I don't think 600 for a two-bedroom is really that high. I live in San Antonio, TX, where everyone goes on about the cost of living being low, and where jobs don't pay much at all, and I pay 700 for a two bedroom, 200 a month for utilities (summer AC bills), I buy the same things at the grocery store every week and each week it's ten dollars more than the week before. It seems like everything goes up except wages, and the only people who get public housing are the ones with five kids and only one parent.

Skyfeather - July 13

Around here 600 for a two bedroom does seem a bit high since utilities will run you at the very least 300 a month with heat and electricity basics due to the extreme heat and extrmem cold since the housing is very poor you get terriable drafts int he apartments. My first place was with a__sitance and I paid 310 for a one bedroom that the kitchen and living room were so small that they were just a lil bigger then a small bathroom! Electric was the only utility but everything was electric so it ran around 50-80 dollars which was ok. Common wages around here are min wage or at the most 7 and around nearly half goes to gas to get to that job since gas is $2.50. My last job I had to drive almost an hour to get to. Its so bad here that even gtting a job at Mcdonalds is a fight. You have people in there 30's to 50's working there trying to support there families. NY sucks. But I know it could be worse so I'll just deal with it and when me and my fiance get married he gets a 10 cent raise and we were told that everyone will be getting a 15 cent raise in a couple months.
