...for a newborn, Size 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , etc ?
Give me examples if you can of your experience, please? Up to how many pounds or age per size? (Others can benefit from here too. Thanks!)

Diapers go by pounds. It really just depends on how fast your baby grows. Amaya was in newborn diapers for about a month and a half (using around 8-10 diapers a day. She is now almost 11 weeks old and still in size 1s. She may have a huge growth spurt and be in size 3's in like 3 weeks. You really just never know how fast or slow your baby will grow. Also, everyone likes different brands of diapers. We loved Pampers Swaddlers, but now that Amaya is in size 1's we like huggies alot. It really just dpends on your baby's size and how they fit!

when i was pregnant I went nuts buying diapers, i had a bunch of newborn diapers and i managed to use every last one. And by the time they were gone it was time for size 1.... i was so proud of myself (lol) but then it came to getting through all the size ones i purchased... well size 1 lasted about 2 weeks so i was left with 3 bags. Size 2, same thing i had a bunch left (well i can still fit her in a size 2, but they are getting too small, so i use those when she will just be staying home)... so i guess my advise would be, buy a max of 2 bags of each size and only buy 1 pkg of newborns (some babies are born too big for those) ...... But i guess the good side of having toooo many diapers is that i have donated all my unused packages to the local womens shelter because they could always use them! Good luck!

I just bought a new pack of (60 count) diapers every two weeks. When my son would grow, I wouldn't have a bunch left over and could buy a new size the next week. I would go grocery shopping every two weeks so it all worked out great.
