How Long Before Birth Certificate Comes

Just wondering how long before you recieve your childs BC she was born in March and I filled it out and mailed it right away.

you should have gotten it already. My baby was born in January and I had to send it after February something and I got it like 2 weeks later.

I would for sure check on it. My baby was born May 9th and we ordered it online around the end of May and recieved it about 2 weeks later.

where do you live? I'm in canada, and here you have to go down to the local licence and registries office and purchase them, even though the hospital gives you a 'registration of birth' form. It's so stupid.

I live in San Antonio, Texas and we get a "crib card" from the hospital that is proof of having the baby. To get a birth certificate we have to go to the city office and buy one.

I had to send the money with the paper work after I recieved the notice of registration I live in Canada
|

The hospital took care of all of that for me, in fact they hinted that we might not be released UNTIL we provided this info for them. Of course they screwed it up, but I did eventually get the BC about 6 weeks later. I didn't have to pay for it or anything. BTW I am not on AFDC or anything and I live in TX too.

Well called about BC they said due to the high volume in people travelling and needing birth cert they are backed logged and of course after being on hold for 40 min their computers are down so she could'nt tell me anything about mine.I know they haven't cashed the cheque yet so who knows how much longer it will take.

I live in Ontario and after I got the registration acknowledgement I applied for my daughters BC online and recieved them the next week. She's almost five months now and we got the BC's last month. I had to pay for the registration of a "live" birth ($25) and I had to pay for the BC ($25 for the regular one and $35 for the long version).

For P yeah thats thwe same amounts as I had to pay so your saying I could be waiting for awhile eh.Where in Ontario do you live?

I got my BC the week after I applied for it online. If you order it through the mail it takes forever. I'm in Brampton, Ontario. It's a suburb of Toronto.
