My GP swear they don't but.. 'they' (whoever 'they' are) say that kids grow the fastest they will ever grow before they are two, and at their second birthday will be half the height they will be full grown. Now, what i have always wondered is this... Could colic, or just general unexplained crying/fussiness in babies be due to growing pains? I mean if we got them as teenagers, and we all know they hurt like an SOB, wouldn't a baby, who is supposedly growing at a faster rate, experience them too, if not worse?

There is a theory that babies with colic are experiencing migraine type headaches. I have not looked into it, but I heard it recently.

I do believe babies get growing pains but I think because their bones and joints aren't fully formed so it may not hurt quite as much as we would think. I'm totally talking outta my a__s here, no basis for my opinion at all. Just a theory. Might explain why my daughter's so happy, she's a puny little twerp.

My oldest is the happiest little guy!!!! He always smiling and giving out hugs. He has been through Hell and back. His health at times is terrible. Believe me, he feel the pain.... I think it depends on the child's home life. I believe a happy home= a happy child. My husband and I never have arguments in front of the babies. I try to keep my home clean and happy. I give out tons of hugs and kisses. I love you is always said. I let them know how proud I'm of them. I have a strong belief in using postive words. If you tell your child "They are no good or worthless, they will grow up thinking its true. Ok, I'm done preaching....It depends on the child

I have read that they do not start to feel growing pains until 4 years of age... (In what to expect: infants)
