Okay at what age do babies usually sit on their own unsupported? See my daughter is 6mo, will be 7mo in less then 10 days. 2 of my friends babies new how to sit on their own by 6 mo. but my daughter doesnt. She doesnt even like it as soon as i sit her she gets on all fours and crawls away. She started crawling at 5 mo and i read that they usually learn to sit before they crawl. But shes done the crawling and now she stands up by holding stuff and walks sideways holding on to like the bed or something but doesnt sit on her own. She will for a little bit before she falls over. I know every baby develops differently but I just wanted to know when your babies were able to do this?

Soleil, my baby is 4 mos old so he hasn't gotten there yet but I wouldn't worry to much because like you said babies do develop at different rates. By what you say, it sounds like your baby is pretty advanced for her age: crawling, standing, etc...I think anytime soon she'll surprise you and you'll catch her sitting :) I know we all tend to worry as moms-right now I'm wondering when do babies learn how to swallow (solids that is) my son just started solids and pushes everything out. Do you have the answer to that one? :) Take Care.

Hey Liz and thanks for responding! My doctor said I should start my daughter on cereal at 4mo. Just like ur baby she would push it out with her tongue. So I guess she just was not ready you know. So I would wait a couple of days before trying again and then I tried at 5mo. she would take it but still sometimes she would push it out, so then I just decided to feed her at 6mo. and she ate it all! Doctors recommend starting solids between 4-6. My daughter ate well at 6mo. I guess just keep trying like every week to see how he takes it. Or just try it again at 5 & 6mo. Take care!
