Hi monica. I finished my shopping yesterday and even wrapped a little bit. Yay! Still got a long ways to go though. That is funny that Caleb freaks out while you are out of the room too! Lucas is starting to reach, and will practically lunge out of people's arms to get to me! It's so funny.

Well Caleb is sick and last night was the worse so far....he had a fever for the first time in his life....I was stressing out. He didnt sleep last night and I didnt get to sleep either...I am so tired and sleepy. I cant wait to go home and go to sleep at 9. I guess he has a cold and he just didnt feel good....the tylenol only took away the fever a bit but nothing else...so I am thinking maybe it had to do with his stomach. Then this morning I got a speeding ticket...needless to say I am not having a good day. I bet you are happy that your Christmas shopping is done...I still have to buy Michaels and Calebs....but I was going to that next week while Michael is in school....I dont like the wrapping part...takes too long since their are so many gifts. Did you say you guys have snow?

Oh monica, I'm so sorry to hear he is so sick. Lucas hasn't had a fever yet, knock on wood! Poor little guy. I really hope he feels better soon and you guys get some sleep. We have snow here, yesterday it was a freezing rain snow mix. Gross. I used to love wrapping, but this year I just wish the gifts would wrap themselves!

I know what you mean about the gifts. With Caleb around I cant really take too long to do one chore...he likes attention and if I ignore him he starts getting upset. The weather over here is sunny but cold....I plan on taking Caleb to the snow in February.

Lucas lets me get zero done, most of the time. If I put him in one place for too long, he throws a tantrum! We keep Lucas so bundled up I don't think he's come in contact with the snow yet LOL! Caleb will probably like it around that age. You'll have to take lots of pictures. Do you drive somewhere near that has snow, or are you visiting someone in another snow state?

we have snow...about 3 hours away... almost near Nevada. Or we could go to Lake Tahoe and spend the w/e there. I just keep thinking of all the stuff I want to do as he gets older....I cant wait to take him to Disneyland and camping...I love to see his little face light up with excitement ....Oh gosh I know I just came back from Maternity leave but I need a vacation....Are you guys planning anything special this winter or summer?

I am always thinking of the fun things we get to do with Lucas once he gets olde enough. I can hardly wait to do all the fun things with him! I'm not sure when we will be able to go on a vacation, we have some really good friends in Maryland that we would like to go see so they can meet Lucas. That is something we may do in the spring. But the thought of travelling by car 8 hours with him does not appeal to me right now. My friend who lives near LA is getting married next October, and I would love to be there for that, but only if money is there.

flying with a toddler hmm. I wonder how many hours it is to fly from where you are at to So. Cal. We were going to go to San Diego In january but I am not sure??? we wanted to take our 5 year old to Lego land.....but yes traveling with Caleb for 8 hours would be no fun....I would want to travel at night so he will be sleeping and not throw his scheduled off.

I think when my friens would fly to and from it was about 5 or 6 hours. I don;t really like to fly, but I would do it if I had to Lego land, that sounds fun!

Rachael we have another thing in common I dont like to fly either.....

I've flown twice, both times to New York City, I have a lot of ear problems, so it hurts them. But it makes me nervous as well. I don't mind a nice long road trip, but not with a crabby baby like mine! The farthest I have taken him is to a small part of NY, right past Erie PA, it took about 2 hours. I was so afraid he would cry the whole time in the car, but he did good that day. I was so relieved!
