in regards to Hylands teething tablets...I got some but I think I bought the wrong ones...are the colic and teething ones the same?

I read the ingredients of both, they seemed so similar. I am still on the fence about them, sometimes I think they work, sometimes not, but some people swear by them. I would give them a try. Or maybe you couls exchange them if they are not open. They seemed the same to me in the store though.

We have the teething tablets (never had problems with colic) and I can not tell that they work at all. I will put them in her mouth under her tongue or wherever and never notice a difference.

I should just return them since they cost $7 but some moms swear by these tablets....

The pharmacist at Target recommended them to me. I use a lot of herbal medicine for myself, so I was going to try them for my daughter, but I changed my mind after I read the ingredients.

I would not swear by them but I did use them with by two boys. I would give 2 tablets at a time in the beginning . A person only has to put the tablets in the mouth ,they dissolve automatically without giving any liquid, don't worry your child will not chock on them. I found that they took the edge off the pain and would make my kids sleepy and would sleep for a half hr. As there wieght increased I would increase the dosage too. When my kids could chew food I started to use chewable tylenol tablets broken in half instead cause the teething tablets didn't work any more. I would give a half a tablet up to age 1. After age one I would give 1 tablet still but when the need to increase came again I would break the tablet into 4 and increase a 1/4 at a time by the time my child was 2 they would be on the regular dosage at 2 years of age. I would try to calculate the age of child with the tylenol dosage and not over admin the medicine. My kids were never crabby teethers cause of this measure. The reason why I believed in giving pain relief for teething is cayse if you have a headache wouldn't you take something for ir .. As parents it is our job to administer meds for our babies who can't get it themselves. As for the same ingredients phone the health food store they should know the difference. Happy teething

The teething ones have belladonna in them. I know it's a very small amount but it's not something I want to give to my baby. I haven't read the colic ones.
