My son is 2 weeks old and he is peeling too! I read this is normal because their skin is adjusting to not being in the amnio fluid. I would like to know how long it takes to go away too!

It's very normal. Don't try picking it off, it will only make it worse. Just make sure when you bath him you are gentle and don't rub the skin off, maybe let him soak for five min. first to loosen things up, and use some baby lotion SPARINGLY (could cause baby acne if you use too much). It should go away after a week or so.

My son peeled until he was 5 weeks,he was also "over cooked" as the Dr.'s said because he was 9 days late by c-section...Then after they get done peeling my Doc said he would get baby acne and he does have it. I would like to know how long that lasts if nyone knows. No,there is nothing u can do about the peeling. Nature just needs to take its course.Good luck

Amaya had baby acne for about 3 weeks. Just dont use any lotions or soap. Dont pop the pimples or anything. Good luck
