Mira, I'll repeat myself, do you think anyone who died of SIDS due to sleeping on their stomachs would be able to come here and represent those who didn't survive it? I don't think so......

I have also heard that back is better, especially when they're newborns but I was also concerned about aspiration since my baby would sometimes spit up quite a bit so I put him to sleep on his side with one of those foam things with borders that they sell and I think he even likes it better on his side because he sleeps great. (most of the times :)

I don't find Sweetnurse's comments unkind just blunt. Maybe it's because I agree with most of the things she posts... dunno But you have to admit "I did it and I'm not dead" is not a very logical argument.

Thank you, P. I'm sorry if my writing tone was perceived as rude. I didn't mean to be. If you were being sarcastic in your first post, I didn't pick that up, and again, I'm sorry. I have never implied that I "know everything". I also can't sit back and ignore blatantly wrong statements, as I'm sure you couldn't, especially if it was something you felt pa__sionately about. If you had a baby in your family that smothered himself, you'd find yourself much more blunt, I'm sure.
