It was a complete accident but non the less I was angry and worried. Our cat is wonderful with our baby, he even hisses and attacks anyone who picks her up (not us) we dont leave them alone of course. Yesterday a fly was buzzing around and our cat was chasing it and hunting it. I saw it happen but was like paralyzed. The fly landed on her head and he reached and went to grab it and scratched the top of her head creating a light line across her soft spot and two small puncture wounds on the side of her head. She immediatly woke up and screamed he jumped back and started crying his self and laid down like we were going to kill him. As soon as I held her she stopped and I washed it off, but I had no idea about what to put on it. Ive heard of cat scratch fever but never got it myself and trust me Ive been exposed to everything even causing me to get rabies shots a few times due to me being stupid and playing with bob cats foxes and any other wild animal. Is there a baby safe cream or anything else for that matter for things like this? Ive monitered her temp since this happened and she is normal still.

Lanabiotic or neosporin work well for cat scratches. You should keep an eye on the puncture wounds though...the shape of the cat's claw can push dirt into the wound. Watch for swelling and redness, and call the doctor if they occur.

Also watch the lymph nodes below and behind her ears. There is a good chance she won't get the cat scratch fever... I know a little boy who did get it (after many scratches!), and the first symptom they recognized was a swollen lymph gland.
