I seem to be having a hard time organizing... I have a huge diaper bag that I could pack for a week in, and a teeny tiny one that's only big enough for a couple of diapers and a bottle. Neither one seems to be a good choice for the everyday errands I do. And I really miss carrying all my cute purses! How does everyone else solve this problem? Have you found any other types of bags that work just as well as a diaper bag? At first I was kind of excited about hauling one around- one of those mommy right of passage things, I guess- but now I'm totally over the cutesy baby blue. Any ideas?

I haven't carried a purse in years! I just dont have enough hands! The diaper bag is so big, and not cool! So I bought a mini backpack, and I can carry all of the baby's things, plus snacks etc. for my 4 year old, and even my wallet and such.... My 4 year old carries it around for me, so I can have extra arms for whatever. My dh has a Christmas party tomorrow, so I'm gonna have to dig out a purse, or maybe buy a new one. I know I wont be able to find anything in it though, without all the other stuff to dig through!

I do carry my purse and a diaper bag. You're right, either too big or too small. I have seen nice, non cutesy baby diaper bags out there. But since I have a million, not really, but 4 or 5 cutesy bags, I am not going to go purchase another one. Half the time I do not use the stuff in the diaper bag, depending on how long we'll be gone for. It gets crazy. Sorry, no suggestions, just agreeing with you!

I have like 5 diaper bags..... and I change them for different occasions. I only carry a purse when I am alone...I tired both but could not deal with the baby and my other son.....I cant wait till the day I can carry a purse and where white again....and the day when you leave the house all you need is $$$

I was thinking of going to Old Navy and getting one of their cheap but cool totes... but then no bottle holders... I know it's not exactly a serious problem, but it does get on my nerves!

I just got a diaper bag that I like. My husband picked the first one and it's so big I could pack stuff for a month in it. I've been using the one that the hospital gives out (it's black now instead of that blue and purple print they had a few years ago) but I was using it because I had it, not because I liked it. I still carry my purse, though. When I shop I don't usually bring the diaper bag in the store with me. I change diapers on a pad in the trunk...those change stations in store bathrooms always seem like a germ collection station to me...

I had a large bag that stayed on the car with extras in it and then carried a smaller bag and my purse into the store, bank, etc.... where ever I had to go for errands. I could just refill the smaller bag with diapers, wipes, etc... from the larger bag in the car when I needed to.

They are pricey, but I love my Petunia Pickle Bottom Bag. It's stylish and I can wear on my back ,to the side, or just throw it over the handles of the stroller. It also has a built-in changing pad, bottle holders, and a dirty diaper/clothes bag that velcros into the inside. I love it! You can look at : www.petuniapicklebottom.com

I hate purses and still do to this day,I can remember carruing a purse just to fit in how silly is that the phase didn't last long. I try to cayy nothing as much as possible if I do need to carry something in it goes inside a backpack. Yes I will have to use a diaper bagagain in the future. when the baby is born I will do like I did before similar to my answer's post. Only carry what I need too.

I got a EddieBower back pack for my shower. It is very nice a neutral black and it has the bags for the bottles a changing pad and an extra bag, which i thnk is for putting wipes or extra small things. i still cary my purse. its true sometimes all i need its a bottle and not the other 99% of the things in the bag. im never gone for long with the baby.

Purse for sure. I hang a diaper bag over my son's stroller but never carry it if we go in a store. I just take him and my purse. I make sure he has eaten and we are good to go.

I always take my smaller one when just going to the stores and visiting and stuff. I have a bigger one that I keep stocked for when I drop him off at the different family members houses when I work. I know I will need less stuff for an outing as he gets older, so I am biding my time

yeah, i carry a small diaper bag (it's neutral green Graco bag, it was pretty cheap too!) and my purse when i go on errands and stuff. when i go like out of state or on any overnight trip i bring the huge diaper bag and my purse. i never go anywhere without my purse. i abide by the "you never know" philosophy, which usually means i overpack when i go anywhere!

I only carry a purse if I don't have my son, which is not often. I think I would look kind of funny running around town with a baby bag and no baby. Go with what works for you, It is way too hard for me to deal with my son, his big stroller, a purse and my mind all at the same time. So I need to carry as few things as possible.

I carry a diaper bag and purse. My diaper bag is pretty big but since it is so big I can fit my purse inside of it. I tried using just the diaper bag, but then everytime I left Amaya somewhere I would forget my drivers liscense and credit cards (in the diaper bag) So now I have my purse that I can easily take out of the bag but also carry the bag everywhere we go.
