It's hard to blve that my son who was born just few weeks back is growing so soon...feels like the time is flying like any thing..i want you ladies to share a funny moment or event or act that happened during your labor :).. Let me start first with mine: i remember when i was in labor at the time when i was 7cm dilated i was screaming in pain and my DH was so freaked out..lol.. he was trying his best to distract my attention from the pain..he was talking stupid which i don't remember any more but i sure remember when he asked me a stupid question or may be it ain't stupid but got on my nerves at that time..he asked me do you miss ur granda? "who died before i was born" , and i yelled at him infront of everyone " SHUT-UUUUUPPP..I'M IN HELL NOW AND U R ASKING ME OF DEAD GRANDA?? ..He really got serious and kept quit..i felt so bad on doing that it was the first time i ever been mean to him..and then a nurse came she was really nice and she tried to distract me too by asking me funny question,and my DH told her " i won't do that if i was u"..but she did and i bursted "couldn't u ask me this question before this h__lllll? i was mean but coz i was in pain..i apologized to everyone later..so do have a funny labor event??????????

hmmmmm..... i guess the most entertaining thing was when i started grabbing my dh's hand when i had a contraction. the shocked look of pain on his face was kinda funny (in retrospect). the next day i noticed the tips of my fingers were bruised too! his biggest complaint during the whole labor was that he was a bit bored and couldn't talk to me. can u believe it. i told him that he's gonna have our next baby and i'll be the bored one.

Wow...was ur DH the 1st person to hold the baby? my DH was the 1st and he acted so stupid when our son openned his eyes whe he was talking to him, he shouted ""O MGD..HE IS OPENING HIS EYES.."..He even forgot about me completely while i was getting stiches which hurted like hell..

I guess the funniest bit of my labor, was after I'd been injected with pethadine and kept drifting in and out of consiousness. Every time I came round, I found myself talking complete rubbish to my husband. At one point I remember saying something about Snow White and the seven Dwarfs! Lol! Apparently I progressed to just swearing at everyone, but I don't remember any of that. I spent half my labor in a drunken stupor. I remember the pain though!

haha well my labour was pretty d__n easy (good ol' epidural) When I got to the hospital I was already 5cms..I knew I was in labour for awhile that day but didn't want to go to the hospital just to be sent back home. So they moved me to the delivery room right away and gave me the epidural..I was so scared I was shaking like a d__n leaf!!! Then the doc says "Ok all done" and I was like "what?! That's it?!" haha anyways, I was already in a ton of pain when I got to the hospital but I was trying to "act tough" and I guess it worked cause the doc didn't crank the epidural up too much..and later came back into the room after me screaming at the nurse to get him back..and he told me I didn't seem like I was in much pain so he didn't put the meds up very high..well 10 minits later the drugs were kicked in and I felt amazing! =) I was talking to my mom on the phone when I was 8cms and laughing and joking around and she was like "omg I can't believe you're 8cms!!!!" a couple minits later I was like "jeremy I don't think I am in labour anymore!!! when was my last contraction??" and he was like "umm..you're having a huge one right now..." haha then I kept feeling a pressure in my pelvic region and the nurse came in and was like "ok we're going to break your water now...oh wait..it's already broken....umm..the head is RIGHT there!" and I was like "IT IS?? Damn! I thought I felt alot of pressure!" hahaha...anyways 10 minits later and Tasia was out, the doc didn't make it on time..and the nurse was freaking out, telling me to stop pushing and wait for the doc (after she just told me to start pushing!) and she tried to push Tasias head back in!!! WTF! I still think I shoulda kicked her in the face!!

Lissi,I was in lala-land too.I got a shot before my epidural and I was hallucinating.I went in a tunnel to "grab" a contraction,took it with me into the labor room where my husband was and told him everytime I was letting it go....haha....he must have thought I went crazy.

I swear i could see bugs in the room flying after labor and i asked everyone , why are here bugs flying??

When we got to the hospital, my husband threw the Red Sox on the TV set. I screamed at him so badly he flinched like I was gonna reach up and hit him. The nurses thought I was psycho... I wanted all his attention!

KrisD, I woulda been super p__sed too!!! Newmom, Tasia is 6 weeks! =) Born Nov.1st. Question for everyone! What pronounciation do you think of when you see the name Tasia?? It seems like people always get it wrong. =( It's like Asia with a T though...as in the contenant Asia..haha...so I figured it would be easy enough to see her name and get it right..apperently not though =P The doc says "taseea" my grandma says "tasha!" hahaha oh boy....

I did not want to be in labor and wasen't ready so I denied the whole thing. I was with my parents and after three hours I couldn't hide it anymore. When they figured out what was going on they told me to call my fiance. I told them no it was just gas pains. So my dad had to sneek off and call him to tell him what was going on. Finially they convinced me to go to the hospital. I refused to believe I was in labor.

haha that is funny Narcissus! I would probably be the same way if I was in for a csection! I would be so freakin terrified!

I was terrified!! I was worried he would talk to me and every ounce of me was trying to keep from pa__sing out from fear. I was concentrating on breathing and it was no small task when your chest is frozen. I have never seen him so quiet and well behaved:)

I was fully dialated and pushing like crazy when doc told me to take a break and breath, so I stopped and was just breathing while he adjusted some things... all of a sudden we here all this jingling- one of the nurses who was a student observer dropped a bunch of change and it was rolling all over the place! After my son was out and being cleaned up, doc reached down and took a penny from the floor and laid it on my stomach. He said it was my lucky day, and he was totally right :)

I had a c-section this time but when i had my first daughter inthe middle of a contraction my dh pinced me on the arse!!!!!!!!! Needless to say i was not impressed, he thought it would lighten the mood, well all it did was get him a mouthful, lol.
