My son hated being on his belly up until he turned 7 months. He started rolling over so when he'd get on his belly and get mad, he could just roll over again. 9 weeks seems young for tummy time, I don't know though. When a baby starts to hold his/her head up for longer amounts of time, I'd say thats the time to start tummy time. Putting a baby on his/her tummy does give them stronger muscles etc though. Maybe put red, black, and white colored items in front of your baby, his/her eyes are starting to develop and they see these colors better. Your baby will eventually grow out of it, like I said, it took my son very long. Hope this helps.

Hi, I too have a 9 week old baby and she loves being on her tummy. Is she holding her head up yet? Amaya has had tummy time since she was about two weeks old. She has a blanket that she lays on in the floor and that is where we do our tummy time at. I always get down at her eye level when she is there. I dont ever put her on her tummy right after she has ate (it usually makes her spit up) but we do it normally about an hour or so after. At first we only did it for about two minutes at a time, now she can go about 10-15 without her little head getting tired. Maybe try shorter times. Hope something helps! By the way, when was your little one born? Amaya was born May 9th at 6:50 pm

Yes she will grow out of it. Jordan was the same way. He hated being on his tummy. Once he started to turn, I guess he grew out of it. I wouldn't worry. She will love tummy time soon. Try putting a toy in front of her while she is on her tummy. She may show attention to the toy and forget about being on her tummy.

hi thank you for yor replies. she does holds her head up and when i'm holding her she can keep it up for a while, i guess i'll try to show her a toy if not i'll just have to be patient and let her grow out of it :)
