Parents Choice is cheap because they don't spend their money on marketing and "free" samples.

What you are too good to be on WIC. Thats what it is there for. In MY OPINION you are putting MANY women down in what you have wrote. I am on WIC and I have b___stfed all 3 of my babies and also plan to nurse my next one....But I really did not appreciate your comment on WIC.

I think that is really the problem, some of you feel that just because we don't use a certain product or wouldn't go on public aid that we think we are "too good". Actually these are your own issues for some reason you feel bad or attacked because you do, instead of seeing these as personal choices the individual has made. Seek help.

I do not feel attacted I was simply giving my opinion..isn't that what this message board is for?

I just wouldn't have children if I knew I couldn't provide for them. I don't believe that I should pay to take care of others kids as I wouldn't expect for anybody to take care of mine. With my income, I could easily be on puplic aide. Breastfeeding was a good decision for me because of my income and I would have never conceived a baby if I knew I wasn't able to provide for him. This is MY OPINION. My son will grow up knowing that he will have to work for what he needs and wants. Anyway, I wasn't bashing the WIC program. I'm sure you are in much need for it if you us it.

hey,"my opinion" did you ever consider that b___stfeeding may not be an option for some? I am sooooo sick of people like you trying to make us formula feeders feel guilty. OF COURSE we considered b___stfeeding..duh, but maybe there is a reason we can't. And Narcissus, thank you for the heads up. I'll take your word for it. MY baby won't eat pc formula. ha.

I said it was a good decision for me. I didn't say it was a good decision for :(.

Hi, I have tried the PC brand and thought it was too sticky in powder form and tasted ok when mixed......yes I did taste it! I prefer the Enfamil as it is easier to scoop and tastes better. After Breastfeeding I switched to formula and prefer the Enfamil. Also do ask your Baby Doc for samples! When my son went in for his 6 month check up, I told them I was trying to switch from b___st to bottle they gave me 6 cans!!! They said that not many people ask and being as busy as they are they forget to ask too. So Moms just ask!

Wow Ladies (and or Gentlemen)! Your getting a little upset over someones opinion. I'm not too good. I also supplement my four month old with formula. I just though that maybe they would consider b___stfeeding with the next baby or if they haven't had their milk dry up it's still not too late . It saves a lot of money and has everything a new baby needs. Two things that the original post had stated about formula. Calm down!

This post is getting a little heated. I also b___st feed my three month old son to save some money. It really isn't something I enjoy doing. I never really got the bonding thing that is always talked about. Most women have the ability to b___st feed. Sometimes things stand in the way that prevent them from doing so (not latching, prescriptions, low milk supply, multiple babies ect...). Everyone has an opinion. Doesn't mean you have to agree with it or like it.

Formula is a saving grace when babies can't nurse. Narcissus was giving a heads up on FORMULA...not fricken b___stfeeding.

Just another thought. Put your name on formula websites (I've also used my mom and mother in law) to get free samples. I haven't had to buy formula for him yet (I b___st feed for the most part, but sitters give him formula if they run out) . I also have a cousin that used similac where as I use enfamil. We switch cans with each other. I had about eight cans before my son was born.

I nursed my son up until now (he is 6 months old). Even when I nursed him, I supplemented with formula because he\wasn't satisfied (and waking up every 2 hours during the night was not good). Now that I am back at work, he is on all formula (expressing milk is no longer an option). I have tried all name brands, the problem is cost, as I recently have been using about 1 1/2 25.7 oz. cans a week. So far, my son has no issue with PC.

did you know you can go to enfamil.com or similac.com and order cases of the stuff it may seem like a big chunk when you buy but it is cheaper in the long run

Another bashing match! no manner what name you use people will find a way to attack you. Sad but true. Now Infant Care isn't peaceful anymore. Narcissus thanks for the heads up
