As long as your baby gets enough b___st milk or formula, it doesn't need water. I'm sure at any age you can give your baby water but it might make him/her full or have an upset stomach. Instead of water, I'd give my baby a sip of baby juice or something in between his meals (he liked to drink out of my cup a lot). There is enough nutrients in b___st milk and formula so that babies don't need water. Thats just my opinion though.

That's true. Babies are fine with just formula or b___st milk. their tummies are very small and can fill up quickly. Water does not have any nutrients in it.

Our doc told us babies do not need any water the first year of their life. Not sure how old your baby is, but thats what we are going by.

Your baby needs water whenever you start solids. I'm positive about this. The kidneys need the extra water when solids are introduced. but, I wouldn't do it before that :)

If your baby is formula fed, you are supposed to give one bottle of water per day, according to Dr. Sears, MD in the Baby Book.

I was told babies don't need water under age one. I have two kids. I just gave my youngest his first taste of water. Water and sugar juice are empty calories. Formula and/or b___st milk is all a baby need until 6 months(add solids). That came from my kids doctor's mouth. Good luck
