im 32wks and already 2.5cm dilated, what does this mean, and how long untill labour starts?

It could mean labor is about to start. Are you effacing yet? You have to dialate, which is the cervix opening, and you have to be effaced which is your cervix shortening.It could also mean labor is several weeks away. When I was 39 weeks pregnant I was 5cm and not a mere contraction.
