Can The Baby Move During A Contraction

I went to the hospital at 34 wks because I thought my water broke, my water didn't break but it turned out I was having contractions 2-4 mins. apart , all the while I thought my baby was just moving a lot. Now, i've made it to 40 wks. and I'm done! I have all the aches and pains but am still confused about actual contractions... Can the baby move during a contraction?

I have noticed my baby moves a lot before and after contractions. I haven't noticed any movement during, although I am in extreme pain, so it is hard to say

When I had my first baby, he moved during early contractions. While in the triage at the hospital, the little needle on the monitor would jump up if he kicked during a contraction. I didn't notice him moving during active labor contractions, but at that point it was hard to notice much but the pain.
