How long after having an episiotomy should the pain stop....I have a 3 month old son and had an episiotomy but I still am in pain when I use the restroom and when I have s_x

You may want to see the doc just incase of infection...it should of healed by now..good luck

I had a episiotomy with my first child and was in pain for about a year with the same activities that you mention. When I went to the Doctor, all he told me was to take sitz baths, which were pretty much useless, and I didn't have time for with a newborn. After about a year, the pain did begin to subside. I am pregnant with my second one, and I am doing anything I can to avoid an episiotomy again. I fear that more that the labor pain. Sorry to give you the bad news. I hope that your situation works out better than mine did.
