Goldenseal To Induce Labor

The doctor is inducing me next week, but I would rather try something natural before getting injected with pitocin. I was told to use Goldenseal by a friend's midwife. My question is: did it work for you when you tried it? I have done a lot of research, but have not come across much info. I simply want to know YOUR experience with it. Thank you so much for sharing!
