Is It true that when you start to go into labor, and it's extremely slow, that the Dr.s will leave you and your parter alone in the room so that you can have s_x to induce labor? I have heard of it happening...and I was just curious. Please let me know. Thanks

I have never heard of that before..usually if your labor is that slow they will send you home...

I asked because I have read it, and heard of it before....like the sperm makes the uterus contract or soemthing like that.

I have heard that before myself...but I am unsure of whether it is ture or not. I hope someone here knows. That is kinda interesting....of course my husband would jump all over that option, if it were to come up....lol. :)

I don't remember how it works so I can't describe it, but I learned from a teacher that I had while training to be a paramedic that it does work. I don't know about the doctor leaving you alone though so that you can do that. Maybe a long time ago, but they have drugs now that make you progress faster.

I was told this option was out there a long while back, but is still out there for those whom don't want to or can't take the drugs.

I forgot, don't do it if your water already broke. It creats a risk of infection.
