Worried About Preterm Labor

I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second baby. When I was pregnant with my daughter, who is now 16 months old, everything was pretty close to being by the book. She did drop when 2 months before I delivered her. This pregnancy has been different. I started having Braxton Hicks contractions at 20 weeks, the baby already dropped, I have been having sharp shooting pains in my va___a, a lot off presure every now and then and I was Stomach cramps. I only have had the cramping one day for a few hours but they hurt. I am worried I am dialated or effacing or something. When I have the BH contractions they are strong and very uncomfortable. I go to the doctors on Wednesday but I am worried about preterm.

Did you experience BH with your first? I had my 2 boys close together and the pregnancies were completely different my first was alot like yours very "by the book"I didn't even experience BH.but my second I had BH alot and lots of pains like the ones you described I think having them close together like that has alot to do with it. I even had BH so strong with my second it had me in tears! but I ended up having him at the 39 week mark!
